Black & Blue || The Rose - Jackson, Wyoming || April 2018
With the ease of today’s smartphones and “photography” at the click of a button, it is easy to get discouraged by the inflated market. There is a fine line between mere photographs, and fine art images. The goal for my work is to capture what the naked eye cannot see. The majority of my photographs are in black and white. I would like the viewer to see them as an overall image, rather than the subject matter. They tend to be bold in contrast, rich in texture, and prompt emotional responses. My life and passions lie in the natural world, and this is directly reflected in my work.
